Blockchain Copywriter

Nomadic Labs is a significant research and development center within the Tezos blockchain ecosystem. Based in Paris, France, it comprises over 50 engineering researchers who are dedicated to the development and evolution of the Tezos protocol. Nomadic Labs plays a key role in providing technical support for the fundamental development, evolution, and acceptance of the Tezos protocol, positioning itself as an influential entity in the blockchain space, particularly in relation to the Tezos technology.

The communication and marketing team is led by our Head of Communication and Marketing, overseeing a graphic designer and a blog article writer. We aim to expand this team to increase our impact in our area of operation (France, Benelux, Netherlands, Germany) and to enhance our responsiveness in order to become an essential source of information related to the Tezos universe.

Mission Scope:

  • Content Creation:

      • Develop engaging and informative blog articles, whitepapers, and other content that clearly and accessibly communicates complex blockchain concepts.
      • Craft compelling narratives that showcase our technical achievements and innovations to a diverse audience.
      • Enhance content quality by gaining both a high-level and in-depth understanding of Tezos blockchain technology.
      • Be capable of analyzing and understanding the successes or failures of different communication pieces and act accordingly to reach a targeted or broad audience, depending on the goal of the communication.
      • Provide, upon request from the manager or executive committee, reports on the influence of various posts.
  • Collaboration:

      • Work closely with our Communication & R&D teams (subject-matter experts) to understand the product/topic in its technical details; ensure the topics are appropriately addressed while being translated into user-friendly content.
      • Bridge the communication gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders through effective collaboration.
      • Collaborate with the entire Tezos ecosystem.
  • Storytelling & Voice:

    • Maintain and enhance our voice across all written materials, while creating storytelling that ensures technical accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in research and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of marketing fundamentals.
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital content creation.
  • Ability to adapt to various writing styles and brand voices.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to produce original content.
  • Good understanding of target audience analysis.

Soft Skill:

  • Creativity: The ability to generate original ideas and think innovatively is crucial. A good copywriter knows how to captivate the audience with unique words and concepts.
  • Excellent Writing Skills: This includes not only grammar and spelling but also the ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
  • Understanding of the Target Audience: Knowing how to effectively address different audiences is essential. This involves understanding their needs, desires, and pain points.
  • Adaptability: A copywriter must be flexible and able to adapt to different styles, tones, and content requirements.
  • Research Skills: The ability to research and incorporate relevant information is crucial for creating credible and informative content.
  • Storytelling Skills: Telling stories in an engaging and captivating way is a major asset, as it can make the content more memorable and effective.
  • Curiosity and Continuous Learning: A good copywriter is always curious and eager to learn new things, whether it’s about new subjects or the evolving best practices in the field.
  • Teamwork: The ability to collaborate with other team members, such as designers, marketers, and developers, is important for creating consistent and effective content.
  • Analytical Ability: Understanding and analyzing the effectiveness of content to constantly improve it is a key skill.

Your Profile: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field (ex developper).
  • Proven experience as a copywriter or in a similar role (ideally 5 years).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills especially in English.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly English (C2) and French (B1), to expand the reach of content.
  • Strong grasp of technical blockchain concepts and the ability to communicate them clearly.
  • Experience in simplifying complex technical information for a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to create engaging and compelling content.
  • Expertise in storytelling.

Nice to Have:

  • Scientific/engineering background.
  • Passion for the web3 space (or at least FinTech).
  • Understanding of SEO principles and content marketing.
  • Understanding in digital tools such as CMS, basic design software.
